इति श्रुत्वेन्द्रवचनं सर्वभूतानि मारिष । विस्मितान्यभवन् राजन् पूजयांचक्रिरे तदा
iti śrutvendravacanaṁ sarvabhūtāni māriṣa | vismitāny abhavan rājan pūjayāṁ cakrire tadā ||
三阇耶说道:听到因陀罗所言,诸有情众,噢可敬者,皆惊异不已;随后,噢大王,他们便向他致敬并奉以礼拜。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and cultural norm that true authority—especially when expressed through a weighty, divine or principled utterance—naturally evokes reverence. Wonder (vismaya) here functions as a moral response that leads to honoring what is perceived as aligned with higher order.
Sañjaya reports to the King that, after Indra’s words were heard, all beings became astonished and immediately proceeded to honor him, indicating the impact and acceptance of Indra’s pronouncement within the scene.
