Even in the violence of war, rightful victory is portrayed as resting on alignment with divine order and dharma; Indra’s humility before Brahmā underscores that power should submit to higher moral and cosmic authority.
Sañjaya narrates that, after hearing the deities’ words, Indra bows to Brahmā and submits a petition; the passage recalls an earlier divine declaration that victory belongs to the ‘two Kṛṣṇas’—Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna.
