ते कर्ण समपद्यन्त हृष्टरूपा: समन्ततः । शत्रुओंको तपानेवाले वीर! असुर, यातुधान और गुह्मक--ये सब ओरसे प्रसन्नचित्त हो कर्णके ही पक्षमें आ गये थे

te karṇa samapadyanta hṛṣṭarūpāḥ samantataḥ | śatrūṇāṃ tāpanāya iva vīra! asurā yātudhānā guhyakāś ca sarvataḥ prasannacittāḥ karṇasyaiva pakṣe samāgatāḥ ||

三阇耶说道:随后,他们从四面八方奔向迦尔那,面容因欢喜而明亮。噢,能灼烧敌人的勇士啊!仿佛要将仇敌烤焦一般,阿修罗、夜叉罗刹之类的夜叉(Yātudhāna)以及隐秘神众古希亚迦(Guhyaka)皆心怀欣悦,只聚集在迦尔那一边。此景昭示:在战争的狂热中,连非人之力也会择其所从的英雄,使纯粹的武力与正法(dharma)之间的道义张力愈加尖锐。
