迦尔那说道:他迅疾击倒载座之车,连同战马与御者,并将旗幡一并摧折;又毁灭象军与战车。于是你那浩大的军势四散崩裂,恰如堤坝被奔涌洪流冲决一般。
कर्ण उवाच
The verse underscores how quickly disciplined formations can collapse when key units and symbols (chariots, drivers, banners) are destroyed; it highlights the ethical gravity of war where leadership, cohesion, and responsibility determine the fate of many.
Karna describes a warrior’s rapid onslaught: chariot-units with horses and charioteers, along with their banners, and even elephant and chariot forces are smashed; as a result, the addressed side’s immense army breaks and scatters like an embankment breached by floodwaters.
