अहं हत्वा रणे कर्ण पुत्रं चास्य महारथम्‌

Transliteration

ahaṁ hatvā raṇe karṇa putraṁ cāsya mahāratham

Translation

三阇耶说道：“我在战阵中诛杀了迦尔那，也杀了他的儿子——那同样是一位大车战士——（我……）。”此句传达出战争阴沉的道德重量：即便名将与其继嗣的陨落，也不过化作一则战报，昭示着纵然是为达摩而战的胜利，仍要付出不可逆转的人命代价。
