Arjuna Breaks the Encirclement; Bhīma Reinforces
ete bahutvāt tvaritāḥ punar gacchanti pāṇḍavam | samudram iva vāryoghāḥ prāvṛṭ-kāle mahārathāḥ ||

The verse highlights how numerical strength and collective momentum can propel a force into swift, repeated aggression—like monsoon torrents—suggesting that in war, mass impulse often overrides reflection, increasing the ethical and karmic burden of violence.
Sañjaya reports that the Kaurava great warriors, emboldened by their numbers, surge once more toward the Pāṇḍava leader (contextually Yudhiṣṭhira), advancing rapidly like rain-swollen streams rushing to the sea.
