उपासर्पत वेगेन वार्योचध इव सागरम् | आसीच्निनाद: सुमहान् बाणौघानां परस्परम्
upāsarpata vegena vāry-oghā iva sāgaram | āsīc chinādaḥ sumahān bāṇaughānāṃ parasparam ||
三阇耶说道:他们疾驰而进,如万道急流奔注大海。随即响起极其巨大的轰鸣——密集箭雨彼此撞击的崩裂之声——昭示战局升级为无休止的对射,力以力相答。
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores how quickly conflict can intensify once opposing forces commit to aggression: like floods meeting the sea, the encounter becomes vast and self-amplifying. Ethically, it highlights the momentum of violence—once unleashed, it tends to grow beyond individual control.
Sañjaya describes the combatants rushing together at speed, followed by an immense din created by volleys of arrows colliding and crossing—an image of a fierce, sustained exchange of missile weapons.
