प्रेषषामास राजेन्द्र ते5स्या भ्रश्यन्त वर्मण: । राजेन्द्र! फिर सोनेकी पाँखवाले नब्बे पैने बाण उसने चलाये, परंतु वे कृतवर्माके कवचसे फिसलकर गिर गये
sañjaya uvāca | preṣayāmāsa rājendra te ’syā bhraśyanta varmaṇaḥ |
三阇耶说道：大王啊，他射出那些箭矢，然而它们从甲胄上滑落，纷纷坠地。战阵逼迫之中，武者的技艺终要遭遇由周密准备与坚忍所铸成的护持——因此，再凶猛的一轮齐射，遇到坚固防御也会徒然无功。
