द्रोणपर्व — पञ्चदशोऽध्यायः (Droṇa Parva, Chapter 15): युधिष्ठिर-रक्षा तथा अर्जुनस्य शरवृष्टिः

निर्जित्य धार्तराष्ट्रांस्तु पाण्डवेया महारथा: । व्यरोचन्त रणे राजन्‌ दीप्यमाना इवाग्नय:,राजन्‌! इस प्रकार आपके पुत्रोंकी जीतकर महारथी पाण्डव प्रज्वलित अग्नियोंकी भाँति रणक्षेत्रमें प्रकाशित होने लगे

nirjitya dhārtarāṣṭrāṁs tu pāṇḍaveyā mahārathāḥ | vyarocanta raṇe rājan dīpyamānā ivāgnayaḥ ||

三阇耶说道:大王啊,战胜持国之子之后,般度族的诸位大车战士在战场上光辉夺目,犹如熊熊烈火——此喻昭示:战争中的胜利会化作可见的勇武与士气,然而这场冲突依旧背负沉重的道义之重,并带来毁灭。
