Shloka 73

भीष्मस्य मध्याह्नयुद्धवर्णनम् / Mid-day Battle Description: Bhīṣma Engaged by the Pāñcālas

उष्णीषैश्व तथा चित्रैविंप्रविद्धेस्ततस्तत: । विचिन्रैर्बाणवषैश्व॒ जातरूपपरिष्कृतै:

sañjaya uvāca | uṣṇīṣaiś ca tathā citrair vipraviddhais tatas tataḥ | vicitrair bāṇavarṣaiś ca jātarūpa-pariṣkṛtaiḥ ||

三阇耶说道:“此处彼处,散落着许多华丽的头饰——缠头巾之类——在混战中被抛掷而去。又如倾水成幕,镶饰黄金的各色箭矢,仿佛骤雨般倾泻。战场遂满布王者骄矜与武备炫耀的昂贵残迹,如今都被战争那不偏不倚的暴烈碾作瓦砾。”
