Adhyāya 78 — Bhīṣma’s Advance, Duryodhana’s Rally, and Concurrent Duels (भीष्मस्याभ्युद्यमः, दुर्योधनस्योत्साहवचनम्, विविधयुद्धवर्णनम्)
रथिनः पत्तिभि: सार्ध सादिनश्षापि पत्तिभि: | अन्योन्यं समरे राजन प्रत्यधावन्नमर्षिता:
rathinaḥ pattibhiḥ sārdhaṃ sādinaś cāpi pattibhiḥ | anyonyaṃ samare rājan pratyadhāvann amarṣitāḥ ||
三阇耶说道：大王啊，车战之士与步兵并肩，骑兵亦与步兵相随，在战场上彼此奔突相向，怒火炽盛，不肯容忍丝毫侮辱。此景昭示克制的崩塌：愤怒驱使众人互相攻伐，使战争的道德悲剧愈加深重。
