अभ्यवर्तन्त संक्रुद्धा: समरे शाल्वकेकयान् । सात्यकिश्रेकितानश्न सौभद्रश्न महारथ:,सात्यकि, चेकितान और महारथी अभिमन्युने समरभूमिमें कुपित होकर शाल्वों तथा केकयोंपर धावा किया

abhyavartanta saṅkruddhāḥ samare śālvakekayān |
sātyakiś cekitānaś ca saubhadraś ca mahārathaḥ ||
三阇耶说道：战阵之中怒火炽盛，萨底耶迦、遮吉多那与大车战士娑乌婆陀罗（阿毗曼纽）奋然突进，向舍尔瓦与计迦耶诸军猛冲而去。此颂揭示“瞋怒”（krodha）如何在战场上化为决断之举，勇武与职责皆在与敌阵正面交锋中显现。
