भीमसेन-दुर्योधन-समागमः
Bhīmasena–Duryodhana Engagement at Sunset
मध्यंदिनगते सूर्ये नभस्याकुलतां गते । कुरव: पाण्डवेयाश्व निजघ्नुरितरेतरम्,सूर्यदेव दिनके मध्यभागमें आ गये। आकाश तपने लगा। परंतु उस समय भी कौरव तथा पाण्डव एक-दूसरेको मार रहे थे
madhyaṃdinagate sūrye nabhasy ākulatāṃ gate | kuravaḥ pāṇḍaveyāś ca nijaghnur itaretaram ||
三阇耶说道：当太阳行至正午，天空因酷热与纷扰而愈发压迫之时，俱卢族与般度诸子仍旧彼此击杀，毫不稍歇。即便在白昼之巅——仿佛连自然都要求停顿的时刻——战势也未曾缓和；战争一旦放出，便驱使双方越过寻常的克制。
