सम्प्रहस्य च हृष्टात्मा त्रिभिर्बाणैर्महाभुज: । जलसंध॑ विनिर्भिद्य सोइनयद् यमसादनम्,तत्पश्चात् प्रसन्नचित्त हो उन महाबाहुने हँसते-हँसते जलसंधको तीन बाणोंसे विदीर्ण करके यमलोक पहुँचा दिया
samprahasya ca hṛṣṭātmā tribhir bāṇair mahābhujaḥ | jalasaṃdhaṃ vinirbhidya so ’nayat yamasādanam ||
桑阇耶说:他放声大笑,心神振奋,那位臂力雄伟的战士以三箭贯穿阇罗散陀,将他送往阎摩之所。
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the kṣatriya battlefield ethic: decisive action and martial skill bring immediate, irreversible results—here, death—reminding that warfare operates under a harsh moral economy of duty, prowess, and consequence.
Sañjaya reports that a mighty-armed warrior, laughing and exhilarated, pierces the opponent Jalasandha with three arrows and kills him, poetically described as sending him to Yama’s abode.
