भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६६: तुमुलसंग्रामवर्णनम्
The Tumult of Battle Described
सादिनश्चाश्वपृष्ठेभ्यो भूमौ चापि पदातिन: । गदया व्यधमत् सर्वान् वातो वृक्षानिवौजसा
sādinaścāśvapṛṣṭhebhyo bhūmau cāpi padātinaḥ | gadayā vyadhamat sarvān vāto vṛkṣānivaujasā ||
三阇耶说道：他挥动铁锤，将众人尽皆击倒——骑兵从马背上坠落，步卒在地上亦被扫灭——如狂风拔起林木。此偈凸显战场暴力那压倒一切、冷然无私的力量：凭借蛮力与冲势，阵列不分贵贱皆可被冲散，提醒听者战争毁灭之迅疾与抹平一切之残酷。
