Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
तौ दूरात् सात्यकिं दृष्टवा धृष्टद्युम्नवृकोदरौ । कलिड्डान् समरे वीरौ योधयेतां मनस्विनौ
tau dūrāt sātyakiṁ dṛṣṭvā dhṛṣṭadyumnavṛkodarau | kaliṅgān samare vīrau yodhayetāṁ manasvinau ||
桑阇耶说道:在那战场上,豪气勃发的英雄德利什塔丢摩那与弗利拘陀罗(毗摩)远远望见萨底耶吉前来,心中大受鼓舞;于是他们以更炽烈的斗志与迦陵伽军交战。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how the arrival of a trusted ally strengthens resolve and righteous effort in a difficult duty: courage and perseverance in battle are sustained not only by personal strength but also by solidarity and timely support.
Sañjaya reports that Dhṛṣṭadyumna and Bhīma see Sātyaki coming from a distance; encouraged by his approach, they intensify their fighting against the Kaliṅga contingent on the battlefield.
