sañjaya uvāca | abravīt tatra govindo harṣayan sarvapāṇḍavān |

Even the most dharma-minded leader can be shaken by grief; at such moments, wise counsel restores clarity and steadiness. Kṛṣṇa’s role here is to reawaken courage and ethical resolve so that action aligns with dharma rather than paralysis born of sorrow.
Sañjaya reports that Kṛṣṇa (Govinda) speaks in the assembly of the Pāṇḍavas. Yudhiṣṭhira has become deeply sorrowful and inwardly absorbed; recognizing this, Kṛṣṇa addresses the brothers to raise their spirits and guide them forward in the unfolding war context.
