शस्त्र चाहं रणे जहां श्रुत्वा तु महदप्रियम्‌ । श्रद्धेयवाक्यात्‌ पुरुषादेतत्‌ सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते

śastraṃ cāhaṃ raṇe jahyāṃ śrutvā tu mahad apriyam | śraddheyavākyāt puruṣād etat satyaṃ bravīmi te ||

由提士提罗说道:“若在战场上,我从一位言语可信之人那里听到极其不祥、令人难堪的消息,我便会放下兵器。我以真实之言告知。”
