Public acclaim is portrayed as naturally arising for righteous and valorous conduct: ‘puṇyāḥ vācaḥ’ suggests that praise becomes ethically meaningful when it celebrates dharmic excellence and uplifts the listener’s mind and heart.
Sañjaya reports that, in response to the Pāṇḍavas’ notable deed (in the surrounding battle context), people on all sides spontaneously voice ‘sādhu sādhu’—eulogistic, auspicious words that spread and hearten those who hear them.
