उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
स्त्रिय: काश्रित्प्रजायन्ते चतस्र: पजच कन्यका: । जातमात्राश्च नृत्यन्ति गायन्ति च हसन्ति च,कुछ स्त्रियाँ एक ही साथ चार-चार या पाँच-पाँच कन्याएँ पैदा करती हैं। वे कन्याएँ पैदा होते ही नाचती, गाती तथा हँसती हैं
striyaḥ kāścid prajāyante catasraḥ pañca kanyakāḥ | jātamātrāś ca nṛtyanti gāyanti ca hasanti ca ||
毗耶娑叙述世间出现的怪异凶兆：有些妇人竟一次生下四个或五个女婴，而这些女婴甫一出生便起舞、歌唱、欢笑。叙事将此等奇事视为不祥之征，显示大战将临之际，道法（dharma）与宇宙秩序动摇，故自然亦显现紊乱之异象。
