कोपिता: पाण्डवा नित्यं समाश्रित्य सुयोधनम्‌ । जैसे वसुदेवनन्दन श्रीकृष्ण पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुनकी सहायताके लिये दृढ़प्रतिज्ञ हैं

kopitāḥ pāṇḍavā nityaṃ samāśritya suyodhanam | yathā vasudevanandanaḥ śrīkṛṣṇaḥ pāṇḍuputrārjunasya sahāyatāyai dṛḍhapratijñaḥ, tathā mama dhanaṃ śarīraṃ strī putrāś ca yaśaś ca sarvaṃ duryodhanāya niṣṭhāpitam | yajñeṣu pracuradakṣiṇādāyin kurunandana bhīṣma! ahaṃ duryodhanam āśritya pāṇḍavānāṃ krodhaṃ nityaṃ tasmād vardhayāmi yathā kṣatriyajātiḥ rogair na mriyeta, api tu yuddhe vīragatiṃ prāpnoti || avaśyabhāvī hārthodyaṃ yo na śakyo nivartitum ||

迦尔纳说道:“我投身依止苏由陀那(难敌,Duryodhana),便不断激起般度五子之怒。正如圣者奎师那——婆苏提婆之子——以不可动摇的誓愿扶助般度之子阿周那;同样,我的财富、我的身躯、我的妻子、我的儿子以及我的名声——一切——都尽献于难敌。噢,毗湿摩,俱卢族之荣光,以祭祀中广施厚赐而闻名者!我以难敌为依归,使般度五子的怒火常燃,为的是让刹帝利之族不至如被疾病吞噬般凋亡,而能在战场上得英雄之终。命定之事,终不可回转。”
