sarva duryodhanasyārtha tyakta me bhūridakṣiṇa | mā caitad vyādhimaraṇaṁ kṣatraṁ sthād iti kaurava ||
迦尔纳说道:“为杜尤陀那之故,我已舍弃一切——甚至那些本可归于我的厚赏与大利。噢,俱卢之人啊,莫让武士之道(刹帝利法)竟被讥为不过是‘疾病与死亡’。”
कर्ण उवाच

In the midst of the war discourse, Karna speaks to a Kuru prince, declaring that he has sacrificed personal gain for Duryodhana’s cause and urging that the Kṣatriya path should not be reduced to a reputation of mere disease and dying.
