एतत् तु रोचतां वाक्य यदुक्तोडसि मयानघ । एतत् क्षेममहं मनन््ये तव चैव कुलस्यथ च
etat tu rocatāṃ vākyaṃ yad ukto ’si mayānagha | etat kṣemam ahaṃ manye tava caiva kulasya ca ||
桑阇耶说道:“无瑕之人啊,愿我对你所说的话能令你心中欢喜。我认为此道才是真正安稳而有益之途——既为你,也为你整个宗族的福祉。”
संजय उवाच
The verse frames ethical counsel in terms of kṣema—true welfare and safety—emphasizing that wise advice should aim at the good of both the individual and the wider family/dynasty, not merely immediate advantage.
Sañjaya concludes or reinforces his advice to the addressed person, urging that his words be accepted as agreeable and asserting that the proposed course is beneficial for the listener and for the entire lineage.
