प्रासशव्त्यृष्टिसड्चैश्व बाणौघैश्ष समाकुलम् । निष्प्रकाशमिवाकाशं सेनयो: समपद्यत,दोनों सेनाओंके प्रास, शक्ति, ऋष्टि और बाणोंके समुदायोंसे भरा हुआ वहाँका आकाश प्रकाशहीन-सा जान पड़ता था
sañjaya uvāca | prāsaśaktyṛṣṭisaṅghaiś ca bāṇaughaiś ca samākulam | niṣprakāśam ivākāśaṃ senayoḥ samapadyata ||
三阇耶说道：两军投掷的长矛、标枪、枪戟与如雨箭潮塞满长空，使得上方的天空仿佛失却了光明。此景亦寓示战争所投下的道德幽暗——当暴力的洪流遮蔽清明与吉祥之兆，即便双方各自追随其所信为“法”（职责）之路。
