Mahabharata — Bhishma Parva, Shloka 114

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate bhīṣmaparvaṇi antargate bhīṣmavadhaparvaṇi bhīmasena-arjunayoḥ parākramaviṣayaka ekaśata-caturdaśottara-adhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Educational Q&A

As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it frames the preceding account as an ethical epic record where valor is presented in relation to dharma and the responsibilities of warriors in a just-ordered society.

Sañjaya marks the conclusion of the chapter within Bhīṣma Parva, specifying that it concerned the heroic prowess of Bhīmasena and Arjuna and belonged to the internal section dealing with Bhīṣma’s fall.
