भीष्मस्य अप्रतिमपराक्रमः — शिखण्डिपुरस्कृतः प्रहारः

अभिद्रवत संरब्धा भीष्ममेक॑ महाबलम् । एषोअर्जुनो रणे भीष्म प्रयाति कुरुनन्दन:
abhidravata saṃrabdhā bhīṣmam ekaṃ mahābalam | eṣo 'rjuno raṇe bhīṣma prayāti kurunandanaḥ ||
三阇耶说道：“他怀着凛烈的决意，疾驰直扑毗湿摩一人——那位大力的豪雄。看哪，毗湿摩！阿周那，俱卢族之欢欣者，正向战阵推进。”此句凸显阿周那专注的意向：直面最卓绝的长老战士，也映出战中职责与对崇敬宗长举刃之道德重负之间的张力。
