अपरिज्ञानमेतत्‌ ते महान्तं धर्ममिच्छत: । न हि यज्ञे पशुगणा विधिदृष्टा: पुरंदर

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | aparijñānam etat te mahāntaṃ dharmam icchataḥ | na hi yajñe paśugaṇā vidhidṛṣṭāḥ purandara |

Translation

毗舍波耶那说道：“这正是你的无明——纵然你渴求大法之道——若你竟执意屠戮群兽。因为在祭祀之中，并不见经典有屠杀众兽之群的法则，噢，普兰达罗。”
