The verse highlights the value of nurturing life and taking joy in small signs of growth. Ethically, it underscores communal care and hope: the well-being of a child—symbol of the dynasty’s future—becomes a shared source of happiness and responsibility.
An infant begins to move his hands and feet as much as his energy and strength allow. Observing these natural movements, the women of the Bharata household become delighted, taking it as a heartening sign of the child’s vitality.
