इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ााभारत आश्वमेधिकपर्वके अन्तर्गत अनुगीतापर्वमें परीक्षित॒के जन्मका वर्णनविषयक छाछठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrī-mahābhārata āśvamedhika-parvake antargata anugītā-parvaṇi parīkṣitasya janma-varṇana-viṣayakaḥ ṣaṭ-ṣaṣṭitamaḥ adhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ abhavat
至此，尊贵的《摩诃婆罗多》之阿湿婆梅陀篇（Aśvamedhika Parva）内《阿努歌谛》（Anugītā）部分，第六十六章——叙述帕利克希特（Parīkṣit）诞生之事——宣告完结。叙事者以此标明该段落的完成，并将此一篇章置于大战余波之后的法（dharma）延续之中：血脉的承继、责任的担当与正法秩序的复归，皆因新继嗣的到来而再度确证。
