अद्यैव नक्षत्रमहश्न पुण्यं यतामहे श्रेष्ठतमक्रियासु । अम्भोभिरद्येह वसाम राज- न्नुपोष्यतां चापि भवद्धिरद्य

Transliteration

adyaiva nakṣatra-mahaś ca puṇyaṃ yatāmahe śreṣṭhatama-kriyāsu | ambhobhir adyeha vasāma rājan upoṣyatāṃ cāpi bhavadbhir adya ||

Translation

毗湿摩波耶那说道：“大王啊，今日正逢吉宿圣日。故当于今日便开始，向最上妙的仪式发起努力。至于我们，今日将留在此处，只饮清水；而大王亦当于今日守斋禁食。”
