The verse foregrounds purposeful movement toward dharmic centers: after arduous travel through varied terrain, the narrative arrives at Dvārakā, a locus of righteous order and devotion. It also highlights the social-ethical role of communal festivals—public occasions where leaders (like Kṛṣṇa) appear among the people, reinforcing cohesion, auspiciousness, and shared values.
The travelers cross lakes, rivers, forests, and mountains and reach the beautiful city of Dvāravatī (Dvārakā). At that time a major festival is being held on Mount Raivataka, and Śrī Kṛṣṇa arrives there accompanied by Sātyaki.
