उत्तडुक उवाच गुर्वर्थ क॑ प्रयच्छामि ब्रूहि त्वं द्विजसत्तम । तमुपाहत्य गच्छेयमनुज्ञातस्त्वया विभो
Uttaṅka uvāca: gurvarthaṃ kiṃ prayacchāmi? brūhi tvaṃ dvijasattama. tam upāhṛtya gaccheyam anujñātas tvayā vibho.
优陀迦说道：“噢，最上之婆罗门，请告知我——我当以何物作为师资之礼（guru-dakṣiṇā）奉献于师？待我携来呈献之后，可否蒙您允准，使我得以返归家中，噢，尊者？”
