Uttanka’s Viśvarūpa Request and the ‘Uttanka Clouds’ Boon (उत्तङ्क-विष्वरूप-दर्शनम्)

मानसं दयितं विप्र सर्वभूतदयात्मकम्‌ । बड़े-बड़े यज्ञोंमें उदगाता उच्च स्वरसे सामगान करके मेरी ही स्तुति करते हैं। ब्रह्मन! प्रायश्चित्त-कर्ममें शान्तिपाठ तथा मंगलपाठ करनेवाले ब्राह्मण सदा मुझ विश्वकर्माका ही स्तवन करते हैं। द्विजश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हें मालूम होना चाहिये कि सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंपर दया करना-रूप जो धर्म है

mānasaṃ dayitaṃ vipra sarvabhūtadayātmakam | tatrāhaṃ vartamānaiś ca nivṛttaiś caiva mānavaiḥ | tais tais veṣaiś ca rūpaiś ca triṣu lokeṣu bhārgava ||

伐由说道:“婆罗门啊,我心中最珍爱的,便是对一切众生的慈悲。凡有人依此法而住——远离罪业,选择克制与自持——我便与他们同在。婆伽婆啊,为了护持并重建正法,我行于三界之间,示现无数形相与外在仪容,随各自的身份而作相应之行。”
