The verse presents Earth as a divine, life-bearing principle endowed with five qualities, and as a field where auspicious and inauspicious results become visible—implying a moral-causal order (dharma/karma) manifested through lived consequences.
Vāyudeva is speaking in a didactic context, describing the nature of Earth: she contains both moving and unmoving beings, generates all creatures, and serves as the arena in which signs and outcomes reveal what is beneficial or harmful.
