Adhyātma-Upadeśa

रथेन रथिनं पश्य क्लिश्यमानमचेतनम्‌

rathena rathinaṃ paśya kliśyamānam acetanam | yāvat rathasya gatiḥ panthāḥ tāvat rathena gacchati buddhimān | yatra rathasya mārgaḥ samāpyate tatra taṃ tyaktvā padbhyā yātrāṃ karoti ||

风神伐由说道:“看那愚人:纵使乘车而行,到了陡峭山前仍受困苦。智者乘车只到道路所容之处;车道既尽,便舍车而徒步前进。”其旨在于:善用方便与器具——不逾其分而执著,也不在有益时拒绝。
