The verse lists the characteristic outcomes of sattva-guṇa: clarity and harmony expressed as joy, humility, compassion, purity of intention, disciplined conduct, dispassion, non-possessiveness, and action without craving for results—culminating in liberation-oriented living.
Vāyu (the wind-god) is instructing the listener by enumerating ethical and psychological qualities, identifying them as the manifestations of sattva among the three guṇas, thereby guiding conduct toward peace and freedom from attachment.
