Educational Q&A

Truth (satya) becomes a fully valid ethical principle when it is integrated with virtues (guṇas). It is not merely stating facts; it is regulated, value-aligned truthfulness recognized through defined criteria.

Vāyudeva is instructing the listener by defining satya as a virtue-qualified, rule-governed principle, and indicating that it is traditionally understood through five identifying marks.
