Nārada–Devamata Dialogue on Prāṇa, Apāna, and Udāna
śāntyarthaṃ vyānam ekaṃ ca śāntir brahmā sanātanam | etad rūpam udānasya paramaṃ brāhmaṇā viduḥ ||
Peace (śānti) is not merely a mood but is identified with the eternal Brahman; disciplined understanding of the vital currents (especially vyāna and udāna) is presented as a yogic-ethical means toward that realization.
Nārada is instructing about inner peace and spiritual physiology (the prāṇas), elevating the discussion from practical calming to metaphysical insight by equating true peace with Brahman and citing the view of Brahman-knowers.
