Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna Saṃvāda in Indraprastha: Consolation, Legitimation, and Leave for Dvārakā (आश्वमेधिकपर्व, अध्याय १५)
idaṁ śarīraṁ vasu yac ca me gṛhe niveditaṁ pārtha sadā yudhiṣṭhire | priyaśn mānyaśn hi me yudhiṣṭhiraḥ sadā kurūṇām adhipo mahāmatiḥ ||
The verse models dharmic loyalty and self-offering: true service is not limited to material gifts but includes one’s very person (śarīra) and resources (vasu), dedicated to a righteous ruler who embodies ethical governance.
Vāyudeva addresses Arjuna (Pārtha) and declares unwavering allegiance to Yudhiṣṭhira, stating that both his wealth and his own body are perpetually at Yudhiṣṭhira’s disposal, while praising Yudhiṣṭhira as the wise lord of the Kurus.
