नारद उवाच स्थिरीभूय महाराज शृणु वृत्तं यथातथम्‌ । यथा श्रुतं च दृष्टं च मया तस्मिंस्तपोवने

Transliteration

nārada uvāca

sthirībhūya mahārāja śṛṇu vṛttaṃ yathātatham |

yathā śrutaṃ ca dṛṣṭaṃ ca mayā tasmiṃs tapovane ||

Translation

那罗陀说道：“大王啊，请安定心神，听我如实叙述事情的经过。我将从那苦行之林中，讲出我亲耳所闻、亲眼所见的一切。”
