gāndhārī ca mahābhāgā jananī ca pṛthā tava | dhṛtarāṣṭraś ca rājā te traya eva hutāśane || sañjayas tu mahāmātyo dāvāgner jīvito 'bhavat ||
那罗陀说道:尊贵的甘陀利、你的母亲普利塔(昆蒂),以及你的长辈持国——这三人皆为林野大火所吞噬,化作灰烬;唯有大臣三阇耶从那场野火中生还。
नारद उवाच
Even the most eminent figures—kings, queens, and revered mothers—are subject to impermanence; the narrative invites detachment, acceptance of karma’s fruition, and steadiness in dharma when confronted with loss.
Nārada reports that Gāndhārī, Kuntī (Pṛthā), and Dhṛtarāṣṭra perished in a forest fire during their forest-dwelling stage, while Sañjaya escaped alive.
