Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly
ṛṣiputro manīṣī sa rājā cakredasya tad vacaḥ
Wisdom and dharma are conveyed through measured speech: a ruler—especially one shaped by a sage’s lineage—must counsel others with discernment, aiming at ethical order rather than impulse.
Nārada continues his narration and introduces a moment of dialogue: a wise king, described as a sage’s son, addresses Cakredasa, indicating a transition into counsel or instruction.
