मा सम शोके मनः कार्षीर्दिष्टे न व्यथते बुध: । “कौरवनन्दन महाबाहु धृतराष्ट्र! तुमने श्रद्धा और कुलमें बढ़े-चढ़े
vaiśampāyana uvāca | mā sama śoke manaḥ kārṣīr diṣṭe na vyathate budhaḥ | śrutaṃ devarahasyaṃ te nāradād devadarśanāt |
毗湿摩波耶那说：“莫让你的心沉入哀恸。智者不为命定之事所动摇。你已从古代圣仙口中听闻种种传说——他们以信敬与高贵出身为长，通晓吠陀与支分（Vedāṅga），智慧老成，功德充盈，明了法（dharma）——你也从天神之见者那罗陀（Nārada）处听得诸天的秘奥之说。故当抛却忧悲：那些英雄依刹帝利之法（kṣatriya-dharma）以兵刃得净，已至吉祥之终；而你的诸子——如你所知——今居天界，随意游行。”
