The Pāṇḍavas Prepare to Visit Dhṛtarāṣṭra
atra tava kaścid aparādho nāsti; yataḥ tadā tvaṃ kumārī bālikā āsīḥ. devatāḥ aṇimādi-aiśvarya-sampannāḥ santi; ataḥ te pareṣāṃ śarīreṣu praviśanti.
The passage frames moral responsibility in terms of agency and capacity: the girl is declared blameless because she lacked mature autonomy and because divine beings, endowed with siddhis like aṇimā, can act in ways beyond ordinary human control.
Vaiśampāyana explains that an event involving a young maiden should not be judged as her wrongdoing; he attributes the decisive agency to gods who, through supernatural powers, can enter other bodies and cause outcomes that humans cannot prevent.
