धृतराष्ट्री महाराजो वनवासाय दीक्षित: । गमिष्यति वन राजन्नागतां कार्तिकीमिमाम्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

dhṛtarāṣṭrī mahārājo vanavāsāya dīkṣitaḥ |

gamiṣyati vana rājann āgatāṃ kārtikīm imām ||

Translation

毗湿摩波罗衍那说道：“大王啊，持国（Dhṛtarāṣṭra）已受灌顶，誓入林居之行。当这将至的迦尔提姬（Kārtikī）——迦尔提迦月的满月时节——到来之际，他便将启程入林。”
