Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्

गौतम उवाच गोदमो दमतो<5धूमो5दमस्ते समदर्शनात्‌ । विद्धि मां गौतमं कृत्ये यातुधानि निबोध माम्‌

gautama uvāca | godamo damato dhūmo 'damas te samadarśanāt | viddhi māṃ gautamaṃ kṛtye yātudhāni nibodha mām ||

瞿昙说道:“噢,克利底耶!我以自制降伏‘go’——诸根诸识,因此人称我为‘戈达摩’。我如无烟之火,光明炽盛,不为遮蔽。因我以平等之见观一切,你不能制伏我——任何人也不能。你当知我,噢克利底耶,我即瞿昙;你亦当明白我,噢夜徒檀尼。”
