Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
गण्डाने कहा--मेरे ये मालिक लोग अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली होते हुए भी जब इस भयंकर प्रतिग्रहके भयसे इतना डरते हैं, तब मेरी क्या सामर्थ्य है? मुझे तो दुर्बल प्राणियोंकी भाँति इससे बहुत बड़ा भय लग रहा है ।।
paśusakha uvāca | yad vai dharme paraṁ nāsti brāhmaṇās tad dhanaṁ viduḥ | vinayārthaṁ suvidvāṁsam upāseyaṁ yathātatham ||
兽友（Paśusakha）说道：“诚然，世间再无高于依循达摩而得之财富的财富。婆罗门明白那才是真正的财富。因此，为了学习获得此等由达摩所生之财的戒律与方法，我便以谦卑之心、尽我所能，投身于一位真正博学的婆罗门门下，侍奉左右。”
