Śrāddha-utpatti and Nivāpa–Agni Precedence (श्राद्धोत्पत्तिः—निवापेऽग्निपूर्वकत्वम्)

毗湿摩说道:“听闻此一所规定的施祖祭(śrāddha)仪轨后,娑沙宾度王便依教奉行。不费艰辛,他亦征服大地,随后执掌并治理其王权。”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse links faithful performance of the Śrāddha-rite (a dharmic obligation toward ancestors) with tangible worldly stability and success, suggesting that righteous ritual duty supports both spiritual merit and effective kingship.
Bhīṣma cites King Śaśabindu as an example: after hearing the correct Śrāddha procedure, he practiced it, and as a result is portrayed as conquering the earth without strain and then ruling it firmly.
