Śrāddha-dvija-parīkṣā: Paṅkti-dūṣa and Paṅkti-pāvana (श्राद्धे द्विजपरीक्षा—पङ्क्तिदूष-पङ्क्तिपावन)
द्वादश्यामीहमानस्य नित्यमेव प्रदृश्यते । रजतं बहुवित्तं च सुवर्ण च मनोरमम्,द्वादशीको श्राद्धके लिये प्रयत्न करनेवाले पुरुषको सदा ही मनोरम सुवर्ण, चाँदी तथा बहुत-से धनकी प्राप्ति होती देखी जाती है
dvādaśyām īhamānasya nityam eva pradṛśyate | rajataṃ bahuvittaṃ ca suvarṇaṃ ca manoramam ||
毗湿摩说道:“凡恒常勤勉于行十二日(Dvādaśī)之仪,尤以施祖祭为要者,人们屡屡见其兴起悦意的富足——白银、丰厚财帛,以及可喜的黄金。”
भीष्म उवाच
Steady effort in dharmic observances—here, the Dvādaśī-related śrāddha/rite—is portrayed as producing auspicious results, including material prosperity (silver, gold, wealth), reinforcing the value of disciplined religious duty.
In Bhishma’s instructional discourse (Anuśāsana Parva), he describes the observed fruits (phala) of undertaking the Dvādaśī observance with regular effort, stating that such a practitioner is seen to gain pleasing wealth and valuables.
