The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
ब्राह्मणस्य हि दत्तेन ध्रुवं स्वर्गो हानुत्तम: । शक्य: प्राप्तुंविशेषेण दानं हि महती क्रिया
brāhmaṇasya hi dattena dhruvaṃ svargo hy anuttamaḥ | śakyaḥ prāptuṃ viśeṣeṇa dānaṃ hi mahatī kriyā ||
毗湿摩说道：“向婆罗门施与布施者，必定获得无上天界。确实，凭此施舍，人能以一种格外而决定性的方式抵达天界，因为‘檀那’（dāna，布施）乃是重大而厚重的功德之业。”
